by Calvin Rutstrum
Macmillan, 1973. First printing.
181 pages, hardcover
Fair Condition
Dust jacket, in a clear plastic archival cover, is a little worn with a one-inch tear. Price clipped. Red mark on page ends. Name written inside cover. Pages 78 and 79 are soiled; a few others either foxed or stained along the top edge. Stitched binding is good.
Rutstrum, a self-made woodsman in his seventies, shares his enthusiasm for the wilderness, writing from his rustic home in northern Ontario. Plenty of black & white photos, taken by the author, of the wild landscape along with the trappings of a backcountry lifestyle.
